MISSION STATEMENT
The National Consortium for Mental Health Counselors (NCMHC) is a concerted effort to empower and increase the presence of mental health counselors in the community. Through education, resources, and opportunities, NCMHC can bridge the gaps of access to care in the local communities while “developing the next generation of clinical counseling professionals.”
BACKGROUND
Members of the consortium will have access to information not otherwise accessible in one location. Our members have a unique opportunity to enhance the mental health profession, by capatalizing on resources and opportunities for licensure, job placement, supervision, and the ability to learn more about some of our targeted populations and unique interventions (e.g. Military, Alternative Behavior Strategies, Specialized workshop development, and more).
